Short and sweet since I’m in Spain currently. I wanted to say a couple things about the journal:

·      We had around a 300% increase in submissions

·      We accepted more submissions than ever

·      We’re still a baby journal and your submissions mean we can continue to run so please submit more and more and more! Submissions will be open soon.

A small update from the Editor in Chief and a small discussion on intrinsic value vs. productive value. 

So glad to have you with us for issue 2. The amount of submissions we got for this issue doubled, which was incredible given how tiny we are. We also quadrupled the amount of submissions we published—which again is pretty incredible since there are only two of us who build the website.

Letter from the Editor Mark 1.0

A message from Editor in Chief J. Sam Williams to you. 

I was 17. The year was 2009. It was mid June. I lived in New Hampshire and the day was gorgeous, sunny, clear skies and right before the mosquitoes really took over. I was attending a big graduation bash, where most of my closest friends were moving onto college. I was inside a modern colonial home sitting on a leather chair and chatting with two friends. One, who was a young woman, sat on the couch beside me—the other friend was a young man, sitting on the armrest of the leather chair, and homosexual. We’ll call the young woman Kay and the young man Stan.
